INSTRUCTOR / GEORGE MURPHY
George Murphy is a multi-award winning music producer, mixer and recording engineer based in London, UK. After receiving the Pro Sound Awards “Rising Star” award in 2016, George went on to receive awards and nominations from the Grammys, Emmy’s and the Cinema Audio Society, as well as working on multiple gold and platinum selling records.
With over 14 years experience in the record industry, George began his career engineering for some of the industry’s most respected producers (Marcus Dravs, Chris Kimsey, Mark Ronson, Catherine Marks, Martin Terefe). After this, his focus turned to production work, and quickly became one of the go-to producers in the UK indie/alt-rock world, working with artists such as HMLTD, The Big Moon, Hotel Lux and Mystic Peach.
Leveraging the success of this work, George moved on to higher profile projects, producing two #1 albums for The Coronas (“True Love awaits” and “Time Stopped” - So Far So Good Records) and Drug Store Romeo’s debut album (“The World Within Our Bedrooms” - Fiction). As well as new tracks with Razorlight for “Razorwhat? The Best of Razorlight” and working with Marcus Mumford recording and mixing the Emmy-wining score to Apple TV series “Ted Lasso”.
George is currently based at Eastcote Studios - London.

Event Outcome
